The first programs cut when states reduce their funding to public schools are arts and music. Even though research proves that art and music activities increase brain function, improve learning, and keep students interested in school, all of which contribute to increased academic achievement, schools often have very limited resources to provide these essential opportunities to their students. The Ed. Fund believes that these learning opportunities are vital to students. We seek out high quality arts and music providers to come to the schools and provide performances for classrooms, teaching artists for schools, and professional development for teachers so that they can gain new skills in the arts for their own students.
If your school or classroom is interested in arts and music programs, please contact The Ed. Fund at 510.233.1464 to ensure you are receiving our program announcements.
