You are not eligible for an Ed Fund Scholarship if you are not attending a public school within the boundaries of the West Contra Costa Unified School District. Your high school MUST be a public school in one of the following cities/areas: El Cerrito, Richmond, San Pablo, El Sobrante, Pinole, and Hercules.
You do NOT need to be in an Academy to be eligible for an Ed Fund Scholarship.

Letters of Recommendation

The STEM Scholarship for Richmond High School and John F. Kennedy High School seniors and the Contra Costa Chorale Vocal Music Studies Scholarship require 2 letters of recommendation. Please upload 2 letters of recommendation from a Teacher/Faculty Member/Supervisor/etc. If applying to the Contra Costa Chorale Vocal Music Studies Scholarship, at least one letter of recommendation must be from a Music Teacher/Church Choir Instructor/etc. Letters must be from the 2020-2021 academic year.

Eligibility

Contra Costa Chorale Vocal Music Studies Scholarship

  • Must have participated in a high school choir program or other musical performances (instrumentalists may also apply if they accompany choirs)
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act application by March 2, 2021
  • Graduate from a public WCCUSD high school in 2021
  • Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school

Schroeder Family Foundation Scholarship

  • Must be an El Cerrito High School senior identifying as a student of color
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act application by March 2, 2021
  • Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school

STEM Scholarship

  • Must be a Richmond High School and John. F. Kennedy High School senior pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Economics) career
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act application by March 2, 2021
  • Plan to attend a 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school

Freggarrio Family Scholarships

  • Must be a Richmond High School senior.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/ Dream Act application by March 2, 2021
  • Plan to attend a 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school
