Your high school MUST be a public school in one of the following cities/areas: El Cerrito, Richmond, San Pablo, El Sobrante, Pinole, and Hercules.

Letters of Recommendation

The Contra Costa Chorale Vocal Music Studies Scholarship requires two letters of recommendation. Please upload two letters of recommendation from a Teacher/Faculty Member/Supervisor/Coach/etc. At least one letter of recommendation must be from a Music Teacher/Church Choir Instructor/etc. Letters must be from the 2021-2022 academic year.

Eligibility

Contra Costa Chorale Vocal Music Studies Scholarship ($1,000 per student for one year)

  • Must have participated in a high school choir program or other musical performances (instrumentalists may also apply if they accompany choirs)
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act application by March 2, 2022
  • Graduate from a public WCCUSD high school in 2021
  • Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school

Schroeder Family Foundation Scholarship ($2,000 per student for one year)

  • Must be an El Cerrito High School senior identifying as a student of color
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act application by March 2, 2022
  • Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school

African American Scholarship (Amount TBD, per student for one year)

  • Must be a WCCUSD senior identifying as Black/African American
  • Minimum 2.3 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act application by March 2, 2022
  • Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school

Freggarrio Family Scholarships ($500 per student for one year)

  • Must be a Richmond High School senior.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Complete the FAFSA/ Dream Act application by March 2, 2022
  • Plan to attend a 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school
